I have lived in the same house for as long as I
can remember. As a kid, I would play on the field. My parents use to throw big
parties for my siblings and I when we were younger in our backyard. That is why
it hurt my family so much when our house caught fire. The five us had to cope
and live with our three dogs in a hotel. After six months, our insurance
refused to cover the hotel bill, so my family and I moved back to our
unfinished home. Thankfully, things are normal now and we have our home back.

I'm glad to hear your house is back. Even though it caught fire, it shows me that your home is not something you can simply abandon, you and your family went back and probably had to re-create the image of home after numerous months of arguing with the insurance company. You should find a better insurance company next time haha.
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine what it would be like to lose your home! I like how your first explained your strong connection with your home and then how losing your home to a fire effected your family so much. Not only do you have a strong emotional attachment to your home, but you rely on your home so much for everyday living, and i think that is something that people take for granted. I am glad that you and your family have your home back!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to hear that your can still live in the same home that you grew up in. I've lived in my current home for about 10 years, and I can't imagine having to live in a hotel. I think that your tragedy gives more meaning to living in your current house. I hope your family and your dogs are okay!
